For persons with disabilities that require these documents in an accessible format: documents will be provided in a format that takes into consideration the individual needs of the requester. This process will be completed in a timely manner, and the format will be agreed upon through discussions between the college and the requestor. Developed through extensive consultations with our employees, our students and our community partners, the Plan builds on our unique and strong organizational culture and charts our way forward, leveraging past achievements and core strengths. Strategic Mandate Agreement 2020-2025 (SMA3)
Strategic Mandate Agreements are a key component of our accountability framework for the postsecondary education system. They are agreements that each publicly-assisted college and university has with the Ministry of Colleges and Universities. Strategic Mandate Agreements are a key part of the provincial government鈥檚 , which seeks to transform post secondary education in Ontario by focusing and building on the individual strengths of the province鈥檚 colleges and universities.
Each year, colleges are required to submit an Annual Report to the Ministry, detailing their progress to date. Reports can be found on .
Free Speech Annual Report
The Ontario government announced in August 2018 that all publicly funded colleges and universities were required to develop and implement a new Free Speech policy by January 1, 2019, and to prepare an annual report on implementation of the policy, post the report online, and submit it to the Higher Education Quality Council of Ontario. In response to the government鈥檚 direction, the college sector took a collaborative and consistent approach to the development of a free speech policy by establishing a task force, which developed a system-wide policy to be implemented at each college.
